???? ????? – THE MAN WHO TELLS THE STORIES OF WHISKY WITHOUT BORDERS
There are people who know whisky.
There are people who appreciate it.
And then there are those who know how to tell its story in a way that makes you see it with different eyes.
Dave Broom is one of the latter.
One of the world’s most respected whisky authors and experts, a journalist, storyteller and a man who has devoted decades to searching for the character behind every glass.
Author of The World Atlas of Whisky, The Way of Whisky, Whisky: The Manual and numerous other books, Dave Broom is the recipient of prestigious international awards, including two Glenfiddich Awards and IWSC Communicator of the Year.
But behind the awards lies something far more interesting – curiosity about whisky.
About the people who make it.
About the places it comes from.
About the traditions that shape it.
And above all – about the way a drink can tell a story.
This year, Whiskey Fest Sofia has the pleasure of welcoming one of the most recognisable voices in the world of whisky.
If there is one person worth tasting whisky with while listening to its story without borders – it is Dave Broom.
Before and after his class, you will have the opportunity to purchase The World Atlas of Whisky, personally signed by Dave!
The masterclass will have Bulgarian translation from English.

Want to understand what an independent bottler really does in the whisky world? How are casks selected? Where do they mature? Where are they bottled? And what makes these whiskies different from the rest?
Meet the whisky dinosaur — Robin Tucek.
YOUR HOST: ROBIN TUCEK
Robin Tucek is the founder of Master of Malt, the Malt Whisky Association, and the whisky brand Blackadder.
He is also the founder of Blackadder International, a family-owned independent bottling company for spirits, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Robin developed a bottling philosophy focused on keeping the spirit as close as possible to its natural state in the cask.
Blackadder’s flagship Raw Cask range can even contain some of the natural sediment from the cask — a testament to the minimal filtration used in the process.
Today, Robin runs the business together with his daughter Hannah and son Michael.
The Blackadder philosophy is simple: never put anything into a bottle unless they are 100% certain it is ready to be enjoyed.
They believe that the high standards they set for their bottlings — and ultimately for their customers — are the reason Blackadder whiskies are enjoyed in around 30 countries.
Not bad for a small family business!
MEET ROBIN AT CALDO
In addition to the masterclass, you will have the opportunity to meet Robin at the Caldo Whisky Bar stand, where more than 20 limited Blackadder bottlings will be available to taste.
The masterclass will be presented in English with Bulgarian interpretation.
